The Udzungwa Mountains National Park is a sumptuous forested reserve, a rare tropical forest that is home to a realm of unique plants, birds and animals & the sacred preserve of hikers and walkers. These forests are remarkably unspoiled, a wilderness of extremely beautiful woodland routes – with no driving tracks at all, brings walkers to the spectacular 170 m drop of Sanje Waterfalls. The park is a home of an important population of primates (10 species- more than in any of Tanzania’s other parks), as well as the grey, faced sengi.

Mikumi’s landscape provides a calm wildlife experience, commonly seen animals lions Elephant, Giraffe, Zebra, Antelope, Wildebeest, Eland, Crocodile and Hippo.

Day1

Zanzibar - Dar es salaam to Mikumi National Park

Our safari will start from Zanzibar ferry or Airport and then transferred to Dar es salaam and soon after your arrival you will meet your safari guide waiting you with safari vehicle and start a journey to Mikumi National Park.

You will have breakfast stop (if you wish) on the way in Chalinze and then continue with drive to Mikumi National Park. When you arrive in Mikumi you will be checked in and then start game drives and then afternoon you will stop for lunch having little refreshment and continue with game drive till evening and go to your accommodation for relaxation. dinner and overnight.

In Mikumi you should expect to see animals such as Lions, Buffalos, Giraffe, Wildebeest, Zebras, Impalas, and Warthogs, elephants, hippos and more bird’s species.

Day 2

Mikumi National Park

After breakfast you will start a full day game drive and afternoon we will break up for lunch while enjoying wildlife diversity then we will continue enjoying game drive. Animal to spot including elephant, lion, leopard, impala, wildebeest, zebra, jackal, giraffes, crocodile, hippo and bushbuck .

Inn evening we go to masai village for more history about this nomad tribe to know how do they leave with nature with various activities including dancing with them and then drive to our hotel for realaxtion, dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Mikumi to Udzungwa Mountain National Park

After breakfast we will a start drive to udzungwa with packed lunch box. Enjoy hiking learning from your guide all attraction of udzungwa enjoy nature swimming pool and the biodiversity of this park is by far one of Tanzania’s most special features. Habitats include mountain forests, tropical. The park is also home to 6 species of primates, 2 of which (Iringa red colobus and the Sanje crested Mangabey) occur nowhere else in the world.The vertical height of the Udzungwa forests ranges from 250 m to 2,576 m and with numerous forest trails, offering different kinds of activities, the park is a true hikers paradise. A half day tour to Sanje waterfall at a towering 270 m is definitely worth doing.

The hiking it takes 3hrs you will have lunch at spectacular view and enjoy your swimming hiking till Sanje Falls. Enjoy swimming at the in the cool water hole at the base of the falls then Drive to Mikumi will start.
